Ugh. I feel like doofus. I am running Windows XP Home Edition and installed
a 3rd party font viewer that I have used before on other systems with no
problems. The application is a good one. Well, this time I wasn't paying
attention and it became my default font viewer (forgot to uncheck the box
for that option). I don't want it to be. I want Windows Font Viewer to be
the default. I have successfully changed the file type association for .ttf
files back to Windows Font Viewer but when I try to open a font I get an
error message that it's not a valid font file. I get this same message if I
try to open Windows Font Viewer by itself. My fonts are not corrupt. They
all work in all applications. My fonts folder is not overloaded. In fact,
the only font that I have actually installed (outside of what gets installed
with applications such as MS Office, Paint Shop Pro, Printmaster, etc) is
one that I installed just to test this problem. So I can successfully
install fonts. Any ideas.
Thanks,
Robin
