If you're running Win98, SE, or ME, and if the PC hasn't been rebooted more than 5 times since all the changes, you
could use your boot disk to run scanreg. This will give you the option to restore the registry back to a time
before the changes were made. That *should* repair most of the damage, but some things cannot be undone. There are
two versions of scanreg installed (scanreg.exe & scanregW.exe). ScanregW.exe can be run from Windows but it will
not accomplish what you want- it's meant for backing up the registry manually, which Win98 does on each reboot
anyway. Scanreg.exe is run from DOS and can replace the registry with an older version - this will undo most of the
changes that were made. If you need further instruction for this method, just ask.
