Thanks to all who helped me solve the problem with the mouse and Win 2K.  I
finally had to update the BIOS on the HP 6638 and have not had any mouse
problems since.   I am now seeing another non-fatal problem.  After being on
the internet and when I close IE6, I am asked if I want to disconnect and I
say yes.  Sometimes there is a long pause and then the phone line will drop
as usual, but the modem icon stays in the systray.  It is not active....I
cannot right click or left click it, but if I restart it will go away.  Has
anyone had this problem or does anyone know what it is.  You can reply off
list as I am in digest mode.  Thanks.
