Ken, if you've got that much stuff on your list, you've got too many programs installed.

Any computer, no matter how fast or how powerful, will operate much better if it's kept lean and mean. My suggestion is: Get rid of programs and applications you don't need or use.

But if you positively can't bear to part with the stuff, you can always delete the entries from the menu - it won't affect the programs themselves. Just right-click an entry and select Delete to clean it off the menu. Or navigate to the Start Menu folder and remove them in bulk.

There's another way which might suffice to reclaim screen real estate: Right click the task bar, select Properties\Start Menu and dot 'Classic Start Menu'. The hit the 'Customize' button and select 'Show Small Icons....'.

But if you're already using this display method, and your collection is still off-screen, I think you need to ask yourself if you really need all those progs:--))

Subject: [PCSOFT] XP Pro: number of programs exceed display on page

New to XP pro. What can one do when the number of programs to be
displayed (Start, All Programs) exceeds the space provided on the
desktop. Appears the non-appearing programs are out of view but still
there. How to see? How to access?

  Blessings,
  Ken
