When installing Quick time, it normally asks you for permission to
associate with different formats, apparently you answered all
the way with YES.

Any how, the simplest way to re-associate any file/s is by:
1) Highlight any file you want to change it's association.
2) Press shift and right click on the highlighted file.
3) Right click the file and choose Open With from the drop-down
    menu.
4) From the Open With dialogue box choose the viewer to your
    convenience and make sure to check the Always Use This......box.
5) Select OK or double click the required viewer inside the dialogue box.

Alternatively, you may go to your selected viewer and use the Tools or preferences
of that particular viewer and change the association/s from within.
