<<< I have been using the PC for 15 days.>>>
will i be correct in interpreting this as the pc is 15 days old?
<<< 3.07 Gigahertz Intel Pentium 4 >>>
there seems to be some confusion here because i went through the specs. for your model at hp site and find it has 3.06GHz Intel Celeron D processor 345 with 533MHz FSB and 256KB L2 cache.
<<< 512 MB Sdram memory>>>
actually you model has 512MB PC2700 DDR SDRAM memory (expandable to 2GB)
<<< My computer is slowing down.>>>
it will be helpful if you can give some more details:--
do you find it takes a long time to boot and load the operating system?
do some of your applications/programs take time to load? if so some details of these may help?
i also find that the system is preloaded with norton anti virus which sometimes has its own problems.
was it appreciably faster during the 15 days of your usage?
<<< I need to know what original programs do I have to remove from it. ?>>>
it would appear that hp load their pc's with a lot of stuff not needed by the average user but this is a debatable point and depends on the user.an overview of your model says " If you're a digital photographer, you'll appreciate this PC's ability to keep pace with your snapping, downloading, perfecting, and organizing. It's also great for music, movies, making and labeling DVDs and CDs. . . plus those basic tasks such as reading your e-mail "
so i feel you will have to decide what can be deleted/uninstalled provided they are the causes of the slow down.
sorry not very helpful but some more details may result in some answers from the list
have a nice day---Venkat Viswanathan
