"hard drive" for free.  Their address is:
www.xdrive.com (or maybe www.x-drive.com)

Since it goes through your internet connection, it is limited to
whatever speed your modem can attain. --- but it is free.

You can dial in and upload the files from one computer.
Then dial in and download the files to the other computer.
