The ability to open Lotus spreadsheets in Excel is built-in to Excel. Use
the drop down 'File of Type' listbox to select Lotus 123 files. If this is
not in the list, then you did not install the converter when you installed
MS Office. Using the Office cd, you can install the add-on Lotus file
converter.
If you have macros and programming in your 123 spreadsheet, you will lose
them. Charts also don't convert correctly in most cases. Cells and
formulas do.
Excel does not permit you to save in Lotus 123 format.
