For what it's worth, I've been using TweakUI with Win98 (as well as some
other Microsoft Powertoys developed for Win95) for almost a year now without
any problems whatsoever.
I even use a select few in my Windows 2ooo installation.
I believe Microsoft puts the "not compatible with..." disclaimer out there
because they're no longer developing the set, likely haven't tested it
throughly on newer platforms, and simply don't want to be bothered with
questions and complaints when something does go awry.
Anyway, that's my read on this thing.
Regards to all (and thank you for making this a truly useful and informative
forum).

"As I recall, Micro$oft has something on their site about not installing
TweakUI in Win98, and I wonder if this is the basis for everybody's
warning."
