Linda, This is going to sound strange as you've asked for help to get 
rid of an empty folder, but perhaps you've put far more time into it 
than it's worth.  It's really not taking more than a minuscule amount of 
space.  It's probably become more bothersome now that you've put so much 
time into it.  If the clinging folder were mine, I'd rename it "nasty 
little folder that won't go away," and be done with it.  It might be 
interesting to try just to see if it puts another empty folder on your 
hard drive.
