I had the same problem today. Try again in a day or two--maybe their server
is down for maintenance. I've always found it pretty reliable over many
years. I've an idea they cam out with a new version recently--maybe we need
to download and install that.
Otherwise, freeware SuperAntispyware has some excellent reports--I have
been using it myself with good results.

The free version, like most, does not have active protection--it is a
scanner only. But a very good one with a nice interface and easy updates,
with many good functions such as Home Page protection. The only slightly
strange thing about it is that when you start it, nothing appears to
happen---- Until you notice its icon in the system tray. Right clicking
that gives you a multitude of options.
