You get into compaq's setup by pressing F10 when you see a blinking light in
the top left or right corner of the screen, if it's newer when you see the
compaq logo.
However, if the particular model you have had a hidden non-DOS partition and
it was deleted, you will not be able to get into setup, because setup
resides in said partition. If that's the case go to compaq'a website and
download the Setup utility for your particular model. You can either make
the setup partition or run setup from a floppy.
