Hi Mikee,

I'll just give my personal opinion about this ,since I know exactlty what
you're talking about.I got the same package on one of my computers about
the same time.
You can safely uninstall it - Works, Money and Power DVD.

Having said that, I would advice not to uninstall Works.
I don't know what you use for creating or opening a document or spreadsheet,
but it's handy for that, since Works has subversions of the more fullfledged
versions of Word and Excel.
Granted ,they are older versions by this time, but sufficient to do some half
decent jobs.On the other hand, you may already have newer replacements.
If you never plan to create a document or spreadsheet, then just un-install
the lot.
Opening docs or spreadsheets can be done with the free MS Office Viewers,
so no problem there.

Money can go - no problem.
Power DVD is actually a good DVD player, but again is superseded by newer
versions. One thing I remember well - Power DVD rendered DVDs much better
than Windows Media Player at that time.
Today, there are numerous free players that render video very well,so,
really, you could un-install the old version of Power DVD as well.

When you do the un-install , use a good Uninstaller - I would recommend REVO
It gets rid of all the Registry entries that the regular Add/Remove program
in Windows leaves behind - in this case they are numerous.

Read the instructions carefully - while it will set a Restore Point, you can
wipe out things that shouldn't be if not careful.Make sure System Restore is
activated before you start.
Also ,make sure you only tick the *bold entries* in the Registry tree.
To check if Sytem Restore is running > Right click My Computer > then click
Properties > click on System Restore tab > The box " Turn off System
Restore" should be unticked - if it is already, leave it as is ;)

Uninstall one program at a time - reboot - check if things are running ok
-if so,
you may do the next uninstall etc.If not, restore back to the Restore point
that was created by Revo.

If you need further instructions, don't hesitate to ask.
