My C:\WINDOWS\TEMP is 26 GB of my 40 GB hard disk. It contains 88 folders
and over 1,000 files.  Most of the folders seem to be setup files for
installed software.

There are also 15 folders, named "_ISTEMP0.DIR" through
"_ISTEMP15.DIR."  About half of them contain subfolders also named
"_ISTEMP0.DIR."

I'd like a reference to the function of  C:\WINDOWS\TEMP,  but the question
I'm most interested in is CAN I SAFELY DELETE THE CONTENTS OF C:\WINDOWS\TEMP?
