Click on File, Save As. Click on the inverted triangle on the side of Save
as type. Select Word Perfect for Windows. Save. You will still have a .DOC
extension, but it will be readable in WordPerfect.

Your computer may not have an option for WordPerfect for Windows. In that
case, you will have to ask somebody to make that change to your computer.

You can set up your computer to save all the time in Word Perfect format.
Click on Tools, Options, Save, Default Format.
