Try the following to move the location of these files.

Open Outlook Express.
Click on Tools then Options.
Select the Maintenance tab.
Down near the bottom on the right side of this dialog, click on "Store
Folder".
This is probably set to "Desktop" or something similar.
Change it to some other folder.

Since upgrading my OE to version 5, I have had lots of files added to my
desktop which I cannot permanently delete.  These files are things
concerning OE like Folders dbx, Offline dbx, Pop3uidl dbx etc etc.  Is
there any way I can move these off my desktop for good!
