unfortunately, the computer in question is 3000 miles away or i would have
dealt with it by now (he says, confidently!). so i really can't answer what
she's seeing as she's not sure herself.

we know it's burning something because her CD player software opens and
starts 'playing' the songs that are supposedly on the burned CD. they won't
play on a regular CD boombox type of player.

she's using Verbatim disks. i'm having her make a copy exclusively in the
I/O Magic burner as it's been suggested the older TEAC might not be up for
the task.
