Hello Nenette,

You probably have a corrupted Sent Items folder. First, move any messages
you want to keep to another folder, or create a folder for them. Next, go to
Tools \ Options and select the "Maintenance" tab. There, click the "Store
Folder" button and copy the exact location given. Close Outlook Express.

Go to Start / Run and type in the location of the Store Folder, then click
"OK". In the Store Folder, locate the "Sent Items.dbx" file and delete it.
When you open Outlook Express you will have a new Sent Items folder and
hopefully, everything will be okay.

If that doesn't solve the problem, check the following articles for other
possible causes and solutions. They also contain recommended routine
maintenance procedures for minimizing problems in Outlook Express, such as
compacting folders and deleting files in the Temporary Internet Files
folder.
