Some programs do not really "install" themselves. They just put an *.exe
file in a folder (directory) along with whatever other files the program
may require. Also, they may create a desktop shortcut. It is safe to
simply delete the folder and any associated shortcut. There will remain
one or more registry entries, but they will not cause any harm. A good
registry cleaner would take care of those if you want.
