Which site did you download it from. If it is the real Java, that is best
downloaded from the Sun site at
http://www.java.com/en/download/manual.jsp. Get the "Offline" installation
package. The latest version is 5.
Possibly your download file is corrupted, more likely if you are on
dialup. It should be about 10 Mb for the full install package.
