Subj: Registry Error with Office 97 Install
I was trying to help somebody install Office 97 on a Packard Bell 133 MHz
Pentium with a 1 gig hard drive.
I had to free up room, got 175-180 megs free, enough for the 130 megs or so
needed for a typical install.
I know this is tight, but the error I got was unusual, something like:
"Brintt.dll could not be registered by registry" or something like that. At
this point installation aborts.
Does anybody have any idea of what is going on? I ran a Scandisk (no errors)
and then had a Defrag done, but doubt this will be enough when I return to
help again.
Any suggestions on what the error means or what to do?
Thanks for any advice!
Best, Mike
