If you are running Windows 98, you can speed up your system by compressing
the registry to eliminate wasted space. Boot to real mode DOS (not DOS in
Windows) and type and run two commands:
scanreg /fix and then
scanreg /opt
The second command may take some time to complete execution.
Back up your registry first as always.
