It is true that there is an index to the Internet files and the cookies, but
I don't know how it is built. When I deleted cookies directly, I have not
run into trouble. Perhaps I was just lucky! However, I have not done so in a
long time. Instead, I use AdAware and delete them through that utility.
There are other cookie search and delete programs available as freeware.
