Donna,
Generally, you should send all email attachments to your virus scan program, first.
With that said, when ever I receive anything that requires something else, I delete it.
Even if it's from a "trusted" source. If it's not something you're expecting, you don't want it.
Your friend may be sending something innocent enough, but why take the chance.
If you *must* open the attachment, then I'd suggest a search on the net for "Bin Hex 4.0",
which is likely an executable program that you'll never use again.
Hope this is helpful.

Subject: [PCSOFT] Bin Hex 4.0
I would like to first say 'Thank You' to all the questions and responses that have been posted. I
have learned so much and am really appreciative.
Question: I received an e-mail with an attachment and the message said I needed to have Bin Hex 4.0
to read the attachment. Could someone please tell me what this is.
Thank you
Donna Hampe
