Well, I have a Dell computer a couple of years old. It came with Word97.
In that program is a "shading color" icon that when one clicks on it, it
allows you to have the colors shown and additional color options. For
some reason I have nothing additional.

When I called Dell, they took me through checking all the settings,
deleting all the normal dot files, making new ones, reinstalling drivers,
etc., passing me back and forth between the experts until they finally
said the only option was to reformat and reinstall Windows. They thought
that perhaps I had loaded on a program that changed a setting and this was
the best way to clear that up.

When I called Dell back, another person told me to not bother - it
probably would not improve anything and would not be worth the trouble -
just as all of you have said.

I'm not certain when it first started as I don't use it that much, but I
do know it was there once and it is not there now. Not too helpful, I'm
sure.

Thanks. I hope this helps.
