Acrobat can use an external plug-in with some browsers such as Netscape, or
other programs, to display the PDF files inside the browser or
application. If you just "clicked" on the PDF file and didn't have the
plug-in installed for that application, you will get this message. If you
want to download (in Netscape at least,) you will have to right click and
choose download. Otherwise it thinks that you want to open the PDF file in
Netscape using the missing plug-in.
