An update on my situation in case others run into it. I have identified what
is causing the editor settings to be changed in the registry. If I run MS
Word or Excel, the editor becomes set to MSOHTMLED.EXE, which in turn runs
Word. Any other Office application does not seem to affect the setting. I am
researching this further, but no solution so far except to create a REG file
and run it to reset the settings.
