The Mac should have the capability of writing to a PC formatted disk.
However, if you want to read a Mac disk on a PC, you can use Conversions
Plus by DataViz to do so. There are also some shareware programs that do so
as well. Best bet though, is to save the files to a PC disk using the Mac.

I have a neighbor who has been using files written in Microsoft Word,
Microsoft Excel, and Claris Works on a MAC and wants to transfer these files
to a PC.

Is this possible? If so what methods can be used?
