Diane..When I was talking to a tech rep at MSN, she told me if my system
resources were low, my system would run slow. Background programs running
can keep your resources. She said that should be 80 to 90% free. You can
find background programs on your start bar....like MS Office start up,
WordPerfect, messengers, ICQ, etc. You can close them down by right mouse
click, then click exit..on each one. You can also get rid of things that you
never dreamed are running by control + alt + delete. This will bring up a
box called *close program*  Anything that you don't need can be closed down
by clicking on end task. don't close down Explorer or Systray. You will be
amazed at what is running!   Toni Fuller
