I have to second this. At a university site, they have an office that stores
their files on a file server. When McAfee is enabled, scanning incoming files,
opening certain MS Office documents takes over a minute compared to 10 seconds
when it is disabled. This is under NT 4, using the task manager it shows the
McAfee scanning process taking all the time.
