I just bought a used Gateway PII, computer being excessed from the
institution I teach at - $75 with monitor. The computer presently has W95
and I'd like to wipe the HD and to a clean W98SE install. I've never done
this before so I need a little hand holding. I've downloaded WIN98SE .exe
from the pctech link and prepare a bootable floppy. I will like to
partition and format the existing HD (1.6 GB). Questions:
Can I do this from the bootable floppy? (I don't see format.com on the
directory, but I do see fdisk.exe)
Once I have the HD prepared I can follow the pctech guide on installing
WIN98SE.
