The thing here is that whenever you install windows, it puts in its own
standard video drivers, which only give you the options for 16 colors and
640x480 resolution. You need to reinstall the drivers for your video card.
Your card should have come with a CD or a floppy disk that contains the
drivers for your specific card. If you happen to have an onboard video card,
that is, a card that is built onto your motherboard, you should have a CD
that came with the board that has the drivers for al your onboard devices.
