Subject: [PCSOFT] Blue screen crash

> Often when navigating from one internet site to another, using Windows 98 and IE5, I get a blue screen crash with the details Fatal exception 0E at 0028:C001539A. Pressing any key to continue brings up another blue screen entitled Windows with the details 0D at 0246:013F47FB or sometimes 0C61:013F268B. Dr Watson says everything OK - which it obviously isn't. Anyone with any clues that might help a complete computer idiot, please?

Kevin,

I have fixed several computers lately that had trouble with freezing and blue screens on the internet that were caused by their resources being to low. Right click the "My Computer" icon on your desktop, select properties from the drop down menu. A system Properties window will open, select the "Performance" tab and check to see what your system resources are. The computers I fixed were loading so many programs at bootup that the resources were in the 60s at boot up. I used MSConfig to close some of the programs that were loading, brought their resources up and they are not having any problems anymore. Do not know if this is your problem but it is worth checking out.
