Hi,
I'm having a real hard time trying to get a program to work. I use this
program a lot so it's important that I get it working.
It's Plan and Trak software that tracks diet and exercise and it works
fine on my kids computer - unfortunately I use it all day long and
can't keep running to my kids' computer - especially if they are using
it. :-( I'm going crazy trying to figure out what's wrong with it!
The url for 'help' shows that the company doesn't work with this product
anymore. Their website doesn't show the product, they won't answer my
email, and the phone number is disconnected. I don't know what to do.
Any suggestions?
The message it gives is a database error message. It says: "Sys database
open error: 53" The database files are .mdb files.
I have had 2 suggestions from people. One is that the database is
corrupted - except it's the same database that works fine on my kids
computer. The other was that .mdb is an Access extention so maybe I should
load Access. I did that and it didn't help. And I don't have Access on my
kids computer where it does work fine. I've loaded, uninstalled (with
Uninstaller) the program, reinstalled, over and over, so it can't be a
'bad' installation.
My kids computer is running Win 95, while my new computer is running Win
98 - however my friend has the same program, is running Win 98, - and it
works fine for her. Can you see why I'm going crazy? :-)
I really really need this program to work for me. Any help, thoughts or
ideas would be extremely appreciated. :-)
