I have recently got myself a scanner (Kye/Genius ColorPage-HR6). Mostly it
works fine, but I have one problems. If the PC software acquiring the image
crashes (it happens), the scanner appears to be in use and cannot be
accessed by the same or any other application. I've tried terminating all
running applications and I've looked through the device manager under system
properties. The only thing that works is rebooting but this is a pain.

Anyone know how a scanner session can be reset?

I'm using Win 95 B, on a Compaq Armada, 96MB RAM. The scanner is attached
through the parallel port. The software I have that can use the scanner and
cause this crash includes acdsee, adobe photodeluxe and xerox textbridge.
