Connie, I use windows xp home and can capture the full screen by pressing
the PrtScn button on my keyboard which copies the image to the clipboard. Then I
can open any imaging program (even "Paint" which is in most windows systems
under accessories) and click on "edit" then "paste" to show the capture. You
may need to do a little trimming to get rid of the portions of the capture not
needed or use the selection tool to drag a box from one corner of the image you
want to the opposite corner, click "edit","copy" then "paste" to give you the
origional image to save or print. I also use Super capture which is cheap
(free trial?) for the same function.
Since I've not worked with Quicktime images, I'm not sure if these methods
will work for you, but thought it might be worth a try!
