When clicking on the "Advanced" block of WIN95b's DeFrag, I noticed (for the first time) the line "Check drive for errors" had been checked.  I unchecked the block and the Defrag (of a 6.4 GB HD) went a helleva lot faster.
When this block is checked, is Scandisk run in conjunction with Defrag?
If so, does this eliminate the need to run Scandisk as a seperate operation?
If not, what is being run (if anything) ?
