Folks, a friend who has vision problems has asked for help with his e-mail service. He has a Dell Inspiron 530, with Windows XP Professional 1 GB RAM, IE- version 7, and is using the att.net e-mail service. There are a number of small boxes that can be clicked depending on the various options available, e.g. "check mail", "reply","forward", "delete", "move", etc. etc. These are a few of the typical options available in all e-mail services.

For some unknown reason, recently when he's trying to use the e-mail system each and every one of the "option boxes" appear, but with a bold heavy black horizontal line drawn through the center partially obscuring the name of the options. I have no particular problem seeing the name of the options, but my friend, with his impaired vision, has trouble reading the name of the function.

Has anyone ever seen this strange behavior before, and perhaps knows how to eliminate these obscuring lines?

If not, we'll try to contact A&T for their possible help.

TIA,

Doc, W4ITJ
