Just a quick note of thanks for the useful info--much of it helped solve
problems I didn't even know I had. ;>)

I'm running an HP8650C, Intel Celeron processor-500?mhz, 64mb RAM, 19 gb
hd/15 gb free, with an added ethernet card, winTV card & internal zip drive.
Lots of games and odd little programs installed. Windows 98 v 4.10.2222

I'm having 2 primary problems. #1. Windows won't shut down. Gets to the
"windows is shutting down" window and stops. This problem used to be
sporadic, but now its constant.

#2. The mouse periodically freezes for about 5 seconds, then it works
again. Does this regardless of application running.
