I accidently disconnected my digital camera from my computer after
downloading photos before turning off the camera which left a "Camera
Disk G" icon in My Computer under "Devices with Removable Storage".

Now, every time I boot up I get a error message called Windows - no disk"
saying that there is no disk in drive "G" (which is the old camera disk)
and to insert a disk to continue.

I have to cancel this message in order to proceed, but my cursor slides
behind the window so I am unable to click on Cancel.

To close it I have to right click on its name on my Taskbar and click
Alt+F4 and it will close.

My problem is how do I get rid of this icon in My Computer? I have tried
deleting the icon from the My Computer window which didn't work. I went
into Windows Explorer and tried to delete it under My Computer, but of
course that didn't work either.

I couldn't find any such listing in Device Manager.

I can't find it in Control Panel under Hardware or Add and Remove
Programs.

There doesn't seem like there is any way to access this "Camera Disk" in
My Computer.

I have hooked up my camera since then and it creates a similar icon which
is removed when I turn off the camera before disconnecting it from the
computer.

It is a pain to have to deal with this thing each time I boot up.

Anyone have any idea on how to get rid of this thing besides reformatting
the HD which has been suggested by many people I have asked about my
problem.

I am using Win XP with SP 2.

Appreciate any suggestions.

Thanks in advance.
