Just a warning before you try:  first use Netsonic's own uninstaller to
return to your original winsock configuration before you do anything else.
Using a third party uninstaller first could leave your winsock unusable.
After that, any good uninstaller, registry cleaner, disk cleaner, etc.,
should be able to remove most leftovers.  As to the banner-ad junk, I just
used a freeware program called ad-aware which I downloaded from www.lavasoft.de
which removed the web3000 references from my registry and doesn't seem to have done any damage.
It removes many spyware components from many vendors, and asks before it does anything.  Seems
like a good program.
