Re: missing Works dll files--I have found some I needed in the past at
this site: http://www.dll-files.com/

Re: doing a newsletter with Word: You can use columns by clicking
Format then Columns, then choose how many columns. When you fill the
first column it will flow into the second etc. You can also choose to
put a line between the columns (in Word the lines show up when you flow
into the next column). The easiest way to insert a picture into Word or
Works and be able to control its position on the page is to insert a
text box, then insert the picture into that. (Click Insert-->text
box-->Insert-->picture-->from file--then browse to the picture file)
You can resize both the text box and the picture and when you move the
text box around, the picture goes along. You can also remove the line
border from the text box by clicking Format-->Text box-->then click the
Line Color dropdown box and choose No Line. I've tried this in Works
8.0, Word 97 and Word 2003.

When you try to do any of the above, you have to have the textbox or
whatever selected (highlighted) before you attempt to make changes,
insert, etc.

All this is much easier with Publisher, but if you play with it you can
make it work in one of these programs too.

Good luck--
Sr. Dorothy
