My Windows directory is 3.3GB, so yours is not out of line. Often, much of
this space is due to restore points being created when Windows updates are
installed. You could save space by deleting the restore points. However, it
would probably be wiser just to have a larger hard disk for your boot
partition. Disk drives are cheap these days. I may be at an extreme, but my
boot drive is 300GB.
