Hello

After years of being an Excel junkie I've finally decided to learn Access.
I'm very impressed with it so far but I'm finding a few problems difficult
to resolve .... I would be grateful for any assistance:

First:
The database I'm building first is a kinda address book with the usual type
of info in it. I'm building this mainly for practice. I've made a nice
looking form and added 2 buttons ... one for add a person ... the other
delete a person. I also had one for 'find a person' but i didn't like the
way it searched, it launched the normal 'Find' facility. What I would like
to achieve is a simple text box where I will type in the search criteria,
then click a button, then the person will be displayed in the form ... I
hope I have explained that clearly?

Second:
I would like to be able to click the shortcut to the database, then the
database will launch, but rather than the the normal Access window, I would
like it to immediatley open the form I use . This is not really essential
I'm just curious to see if it is possible?

Any advice will be appreciated.

TIA ... Mick
