I followed the directions, but when I started the computer in the safe mode, it wouldn't let me run AVG or even go online.  I shut it back down, re-booted, turned off the restore points, ran AVG & all the other programs.  A squared found 1 malware file and that was all.  I deleted that.  I then re-booted and re-set the restore points and created one for the new start.  Do you think that cured this problem???
