My son-in law has an ACER, AMD 500, 64MB Ram, !0 GB Hard drive... When doing a "Shutdown"  in Windows 98 there is no option to RE-Start in the DOS mode.  
 
He bought the machine at Sears and they don't know why it does not have that option.  It will go to DOS while in wiindows thru the MS DOS prompt in the Program Function.  (START, PROGRAMS, MS DOS).

But we want to run SCANREG/FIX and SCANREG/OPT and it wont run from Windows..   Any Help would be appreciated........ Has Sears Modified the DOS access on a Restart?
