I don't know what method you used (TweakUI, registry hack etc., but this should work.
 Start, Run, cmd.exe, then right click the window menu and choose properties, under options/command history/buffer size put in a number such as 500. Save properties for future windows with same title and exit out.

  I read somewhere a while ago how to prevent showing any commands that had been typed into the Start/Run command window.  I did this and now I would like to reverse it but can't remember how it was done.
