A friend and I are trying to learn how to make our own DVDs. The intent is
to be able to record our family VHS tapes to DVD. He has installed a
Leadtek 2000xp TV Tuner card and Winfast TVR plus Ulead Videostudio 8. His
machine is a P4 2.8 GHZ with 512 RAm running Win xp Home. We can now record
the VHS tapes to the machine and use Videostudio 8 to create the file and
then create the disc. All goes well (apparently) until the end when an error
message appears that says "Cannot open file" (930006:1:0). I have installed
the software (Videostudio 8) on my own machine (P4 1.5 GHZ, 512 RAM, Winxp
Home) and using n AVI file it works perfectly for me! This leads me to
suspect that there may be something amiss in his computer. Can anyone shed
any light on what could be the problem? I have Googled the error code but
get nothing that I can understand. We have downloaded and watched the video
tutorial from Ulead but still get stuck at the very end.

Thanks
Rick Thornton
