Subject: [PCSOFT] Program I.D.
I had been experiencing some problems with internet access and email
deliveries. As a consequence, yesterday I upgraded my ZoneAlarm to
version 6.0 and installed two new anti-spyware programs (Spyware Doctor
and CounterSpy). The CounterSpy program identified two programs, which I
deleted.
When I started-up my computer today, I received a ZoneAlarm warning that
"Spam Filter" wanted to have access to the internet; it's file
is"matispm.exe" (version 4.7.1.6235).
I did an internet search, but could not find any info on this
program/file name. Since my email appears to be working now, I denied
access by this program/file.
Does anyone know about "matispm.exe" or the program "Spam Filter"?
I need to know what to do if I get this ZoneAlarm message again.
Thanks in advance.
Sorry, I forgot to indicate that I am running Windows XP with SP-2.
