Hi all,

I would like to thank those of you who posted
suggestions and mailed me off list with regard to
my problem.

I'm afraid I didn't explain my problem very
accurately in my
original post. It was more to do with self
extracting applets rather than straight forward
.exe files. Anyway after spending literally hours
and hours delving into unknown reaches of
Explorer tools, I finally cracked my problem, and
as usual, instead of looking for the simple
things first, I was looking for a really
complicated techy solution...

It turned out to be nothing less than the date in
windows somehow reverting to 1980. My friend now
tells me that the problem started after we
changed daylight saving a couple of weeks ago.
She was probably on line at the time windows made
the change so I guess the routine somehow
corrupted.

My friend was VERY grateful ;-)...

Ken Stearn
